How do you convince a teenager to participate in a program with his or her parents? And how do you convince parents to participate in a skills-building program with their teenage children? These are some of the questions that Parent Action on Drugs had to consider while developing Strengthening Families for Parents and Youth. This program is based on a 14-week, evidence-based, family skills training program called Strengthening Families Program, a U.S. program for at-risk families.
In our latest Evidence in Action, EENet’s Tanya Krimus profiles Strengthening Families for Parents and Youth.
You can read about the program in EENet’s latest Evidence in Action on the EENet website. Evidence in Action profiles knowledge generation, exchange, and implementation activities across Ontario.
