The Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI), specializes in trauma-informed mental health and developmental services for children and youth in Ontario age 0-18. This week they have launched a new series of podcasts to help parents, caregivers, children and youth and the professionals who help them. The podcasts feature the following topics/speakers:
- Youth voice on living in residential care
- Parent voice of their child’s mental health journey
- Dr. Sandra Bloom, founder of the Sanctuary Institute on Trauma Informed Care
- Dr. Clare Mitchell, CPRI Pediatrician about Client- Centred Care in Children’s Mental Health
- Dr. Ross Evans, CPRI Pharmacist about Pharmacy Matters: Psychotropic Medication Tips
The release of the podcasts is part of a broader initiative by CPRI to commemorate Children’s Mental Health Week in Ontario, which coincides with CMHA’s 65 annual Mental Health Week (May 2-8)
For Children’s Mental Health Week, CPRI is also providing:
- Mental health resources for young people and their caregivers and support team.
- A toolkit that contains instructional videos and downloadable education information about psychotropic medication monitoring in children and youth.
