The certificate program in Psychiatric Vocational Rehabilitation (PVR) is now available in Canada and in module format. The PVRCanada certificate teaches people how to assist those diagnosed with a psychiatric condition to develop careers and educational opportunities.
Developed for people who provide vocational support services for individuals with serious mental illness, the PVRCanada certificate will be very useful for staff to increase their knowledge, skills and resources.
Now this dynamic program is offered in modular form, so you can take one module, or all them, as you are able. If you attend one session only, you obtain a Certificate of Attendance.
Participants taking all six modules must register for each module as well as the practical application assignments. After completing all of the modules, participants are eligible to receive the PVRCanada certificate.
The first module ran in November, but subsequent modules will be held throughout 2012. Contact Christine McMulkin (Gayler) at (416) 628-4683, or go to www.bu.edu for more information.
