The Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) is a savings vehicle introduced in 2008 to allow families and friends of individuals with physical and mental disabilities to invest in a savings plan that can be drawn upon for income later in life. The RDSP is exempt from ODSP.
A review of the RDSP was scheduled for three years after introduction, and it is now time for that review.
If you would like to provide input into this process, comments can be sent to the Department of Finance at RDSP-REEI@fin.gc.ca.
