CAST Canada (Come And Sit Together Canada) holds workshops and conferences on trauma and unresolved grief in addictions, homelessness, chronic unemployment, and mental illness for the public, corporate audiences and helping professionals.
Their 2012 conference, “Grounding Trauma” will be held May 10 and 11 at the Nottawasaga Inn in Alliston, Ontario. Requests for proposals have now been issued for persons or organizations interested in presenting at the conference. CAST Canada would like to have a balance of presenters from all sectors, including government, academia, service providers and people with direct experience.
Format of the presentations is flexible and creative. Conventional presentation styles are invited, as well as non-traditional forms such as “stop theatre”, songs and dance – the sky is the limit!
If you are contemplating the challenge of being a presenter, CAST Canada invites you to email your idea to gt@cast-canada.ca and they will help you develop your ideas for a response to the RFP.
For more information, on the RFP, go to www.cast-canada.ca.
Submission deadline for RFPs is December 1, 2011.
