The South East Local Health Integrated Network (SE LHIN) has launched a new region-wide Community Engagement process (CEP). This will enable residents across southeastern Ontario to have their say in how they receive health care through the SE LHIN’s Clinical Services Roadmap initiative (CSRI).
Information on the CSRI (announced last July) is available on the SE LHIN website at southeastlhin.ascentum.com. The site provides the public with the background on the initiative and the proposed operational work plans in seven major clinical areas. Once on the site, people can also provide their feedback via online workbooks that capture and measure their feedback.
The clinical areas included in the CSRI are: Cardiac Care, Emergency Department Wait Times, Restorative Care, Mental Health and Addiction Services, Surgical Care, Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) and Maternal and Newborn Care.
Once the feedback period is over, all inputs are consolidated and analyzed for their impact on the proposed clinical plans. Finalization and implementation will take place over the next one to three years.
