The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) is now accepting applications for its second SPARK Training Institute workshop, to be held July 10 to 11, 2013 in Victoria, British Columbia. Applications are welcome from Canadians working or volunteering in communities, health facilities, mental health, substance use or addictions programmes, Aboriginal organizations, academia, non-profit or policy makers. The SPARK Training Institute is an initiative created by the MHCC to help participants learn techniques for moving evidence-informed research from the fields of mental health, substance use and addictions more quickly into practice.
Applicants will be required to describe an initiative that requires a knowledge translation plan and selection will be based upon the strength of the description and the implementation plan. Successful applicants will receive funding for tuition, travel and accommodation for the duration of the workshop.
Application deadline is March 11, 2013 so don’t delay!
