Both a research study and a play, “That’s Just Crazy Talk” is premiering July 28, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in Toronto at The Great Hall. This is a thoughtful and funny stage-play about one woman’s lived experience with bipolar disorder. Acclaimed actress, playwright, and mental health educator, Victoria Maxwell wrote and performs in this theatrical-based study which explores the impact of a one-woman play on mental health issues.
Members of the audience will be asked to complete a pre and post-performance survey exploring their attitudes and understanding of mental health issues as part of the research. The audience can also participate in a question and answer period with Ms. Maxwell after the performance.
Tickets are free however you must register to attend. Priority will be given to people with bipolar disorder and their healthcare providers, however if space is available, non-research participants such as family members are welcome.
